Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Are you equipped with the skills and patience to support learners in managing behaviour and thriving within their learning environment?

GSL Education are looking for a committed Behaviour Support/Mentor to join schools in Wakefield (WF4), providing guidance, support, and intervention for pupils who need additional behavioural and emotional assistance.

As a Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will work closely with students to encourage positive choices, build confidence, and create a calm, productive learning atmosphere.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing social skills.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to address individual needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support learner wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Behaviour Support/Mentor.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to motivate learners.
  • Awareness of safeguarding and student welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
