About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, work closely with individual students or small groups, and help create a positive learning environment. This role is key to ensuring that all students can access the curriculum and develop both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Work one-to-one or with small groups to help students access learning.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive environment.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities.
- Implement individual learning strategies and interventions as required.
- Encourage student independence, confidence, and participation in activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN, SEMH, or related support strategies is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting learners’ development.
