Role: Drama Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to support schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This is a fantastic opportunity for a Drama Teacher who enjoys inspiring confidence, creativity, and self-expression through performance and practical learning.

What to Expect in This Role:

  • Deliver engaging drama lessons across a range of year groups.
  • Plan and lead practical sessions focused on performance, improvisation, and creativity.
  • Encourage students to develop communication skills, confidence, and teamwork.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with colleagues to support student development.

Requirements for This Drama Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching drama is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Creative, professional, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
