Science Teacher
Location: Lewisham
Salary: £155 – £230 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary, Part Time – 2 days a week (Monday & Wednesday)
GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced Science Teacher to work at a welcoming and high-achieving girls’ secondary school in Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher who is confident in teaching engaging lessons and inspiring young learners. The school is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher who can support students’ academic progress and promote a love for science. If you are a committed Science Teacher looking for a flexible part-time role, this Science Teacher position could be ideal for you.
As a Science Teacher, you will join a supportive department and work closely with staff to deliver high-quality science education. This role is well-suited to an enthusiastic Science Teacher who enjoys making lessons practical, inclusive, and motivating.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 to a high standard

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

Work collaboratively with other staff and the Science department

Support students’ academic and personal development
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Proven experience working as a Science Teacher in UK secondary schools

Strong subject knowledge in Science

Ability to inspire and motivate female students

Good classroom and behaviour management skills

Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
