Role: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
GSL Education are looking for a creative and practical Design Technology Teacher to support students across schools in Rotherham (S65, S66). This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoys hands-on learning and inspires students to develop design, problem-solving, and technical skills.
What to Expect in This DT Teacher Role:
- Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across a range of year groups.
- Plan and prepare practical and theory-based lessons that encourage creativity and innovation.
- Support students in developing skills in design, manufacturing, and evaluation.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed workshop or classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and work collaboratively with colleagues to support achievement.
Requirements for This Design Technology Teacher Role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching Design Technology is desirable.
- Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
- Ability to inspire creativity and independent thinking.
- A professional, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
