Job Title: Mechanics Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanics Teacher with a passion for practical learning and technical education?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Mechanics Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking educational setting in Hull.

As a Mechanics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and hands-on lessons that develop students’ technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and practical skills, preparing them for further education, apprenticeships, or careers within the automotive and mechanical industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver practical and theory-based Mechanics lessons.
  • Teach students mechanical principles, systems, and workshop practices.
  • Ensure safe working practices and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support students in developing technical, vocational, and employability skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and learning experience.

Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching qualification or industry-recognised qualification in Mechanics or Engineering.
  • Previous experience teaching Mechanics or working within a mechanical/engineering setting.
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
