Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £1100 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a creative and passionate Art Teacher looking to inspire students through visual arts and design?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a supportive and engaging secondary school in Sheffield (S35).

As an Art Teacher, you will deliver stimulating lessons that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. You will help students develop practical skills, explore different media, and gain confidence in their own creative abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Support students in developing skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other artistic media.
  • Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and personal expression.
  • Assess student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment opportunities.

Art TeacherRequirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and practical experience in a range of artistic techniques.
  • Previous experience teaching Art in secondary schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
