Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £1100 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Sheffield (S35).

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, encouraging students to develop curiosity, confidence, and strong scientific thinking skills. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, following the school’s curriculum.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes progress and achievement.
  • Assess student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies to ensure a safe and productive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental activities and development.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and school events when required.

Requirements for Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Previous teaching experience within UK secondary schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
