Job Title: Sports Coaches
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start/Jan 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Sports Coaches to support secondary schools within the S2 and S3 locations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong coaching experience who can motivate students, encourage healthy habits, and contribute to a positive school environment.

As one of our Sports Coaches, you will help deliver a range of physical activities, support PE lessons, and work with pupils who benefit from structured, engaging sessions. You will also play a key part in promoting confidence, discipline, and teamwork across the school community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality PE and sports sessions across different year groups.
  • Encourage active participation and support students of varying ability levels.
  • Work with teachers to maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive sporting environment.
  • Help pupils develop teamwork, resilience, and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
  • Supervise sports activities, manage small groups, and promote good behaviour during sessions.
  • Support school events such as sports days, fixtures, or lunchtime clubs when needed.

Requirements of Sports Coaches:

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a coaching or school-based setting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide students.
  • A genuine passion for physical education, wellbeing, and youth development.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • The ability to work well within a team and follow school safeguarding procedures.
