Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Lytchett Minster
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and skilled educator committed to supporting students with special educational needs? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and engaging school environment in Lytchett Minster.
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver tailored learning programmes designed to meet the diverse needs of pupils with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with support staff, therapists, and school leaders to ensure every student receives the guidance and personalised support they require to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external professionals.
- Implement EHCP targets and monitor pupils’ academic and developmental progress.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to support students with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and other additional needs.
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and communication with parents/carers.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development through consistent routines and strategies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students with SEN.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
- Patience, compassion, and resilience when supporting students with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
