Exciting Opportunity: Full-Time Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary School in Eastleigh
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and thrive in their education? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Eastleigh. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within the pastoral team, supporting students who have been removed from class due to poor behaviour. The position starts from January 2026, with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
Your responsibilities as Behaviour Support Assistant will include:
- Providing tailored support to students who are temporarily removed from lessons.
- Working closely with the pastoral team to manage behaviour effectively.
- Building positive relationships to encourage students back into the classroom.
- Assisting with behaviour plans and monitoring progress.
What We’re Looking in Behaviour Support Assistant
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people with challenging behaviour.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Any relevant qualifications or training in education or behaviour support are an advantage.
