Job Title: Learning Support Worker
Location: Burley
Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a committed and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join a supportive educational setting in Burley. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and develop essential skills for their future.

As a Learning Support Worker, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide individual and small-group support, helping pupils with varying needs engage positively in their education. You will play a key role in promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support.
  • Assisting with behaviour regulation and emotional support.
  • Helping pupils understand and complete classroom tasks.
  • Supporting differentiated learning strategies set by teaching staff.
  • Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for the Learning Support Worker:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, or support capacity.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Willingness to support students with diverse needs, including SEN.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
