Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to providing high-quality teaching and tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs.

As an SEN Teacher, you will work with small classes and individual learners, creating personalised learning plans that meet each pupil's developmental, emotional, and academic needs. You will play a key role in fostering a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with varying SEN needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised education plans (IEPs).
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
  • Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
  • Assess pupil progress and adjust strategies to ensure continued development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working within SEN or specialist education settings.
  • Strong understanding of SEND frameworks and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to supporting pupil development.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
