Pay Rate: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Bourne. This role provides an excellent opportunity to help pupils with complex learning, physical, and social needs access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve personal growth in a safe and inclusive environment.
Role Overview:
As a Complex Needs Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to provide targeted support for pupils with complex learning, behavioural, and physical needs. You will help create a structured, engaging, and safe learning environment where pupils can thrive.
As a Complex Needs Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
- Assist with learning tasks, communication, and emotional regulation.
- Support access to the curriculum by adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals.
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements for Complex Needs Support Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with complex needs or a background in care (essential).
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to challenging situations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow structured support plans and adapt to individual pupil requirements.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
