Pay Rate: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing school in Horncastle. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Role Overview:
As a 1:1 SEN TA, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support to a pupil requiring individualised learning assistance. You will play a key role in promoting confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide focused 1:1 support tailored to a pupil with special educational needs.
- Assist with learning tasks, communication, and emotional regulation.
- Implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Adapt resources and activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
- Monitor, record, and share updates on the pupil’s progress and wellbeing.
Requirements for 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting SEN pupils or experience within a care setting (essential).
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and behaviour-support skills.
- Ability to work closely with teachers and follow tailored support plans.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
