Pay Rate: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a patient and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with experience in education or care, looking to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ learning and wellbeing?

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Sleaford. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to help pupils with additional needs access learning, develop confidence, and make positive progress in both academic and personal development.

Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a variety of learning needs. You will help create an encouraging and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported throughout their learning journey.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils with additional or complex needs.
  • Use strategies to aid learning, communication, and emotional development.
  • Support access to the curriculum by adapting resources and offering clear guidance.
  • Foster positive behaviour, engagement, and independent learning habits.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
  • Observe, record, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.

Requirements for Learning Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people in a school or care setting (essential).
  • A caring, calm, and adaptable approach to meeting individual needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
