SEMH Teacher – Grantham

Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Salary: £150 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (potential for permanent)

Are you a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs?


GSL Education are seeking a dedicated teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Grantham, supporting students who require a nurturing, structured, and adaptable learning environment.

This is a full-time, temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH and behavioural challenges.

  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning experiences.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet individual needs.

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters trust and growth.

  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting approaches where necessary.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Has previous experience teaching within an SEMH or alternative provision setting.

  • Demonstrates resilience, patience, and a compassionate approach to challenging behaviour.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.

  • Committed to supporting every learner to achieve their potential.
