Job Title: SEN Teacher
 Location: Barnsley 
 Pay Rate: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)
 Start Date: Immediate
 Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an SEN Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development within a highly supportive learning environment.
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of SEND pupils.
 - Differentiate learning to support a wide range of abilities and educational requirements.
 - Foster confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours among pupils.
 - Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing targeted feedback to aid development.
 - Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support for each learner.
 - Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages pupil success.
 
Requirements for SEN Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
 - Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
 - Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
 - A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to teaching.
 - Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
 - An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
 - A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
