Salary: £90 - £95 per day [Depending on experience]

About the Role:
As a SEND Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum, develop key skills, and achieve their personal goals. This role is central to enhancing pupils’ learning experiences and promoting their confidence and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with individual learning needs within the classroom.
  • Implement and follow personalised learning and care plans.
  • Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive interactions and learning outcomes.
  • Provide personal care, hygiene support, and assistance with eating, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a consistent and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a SEND or classroom support role is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and behaviour support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
