Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you an enthusiastic Science Teacher with a passion for igniting curiosity and inspiring young minds?

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and driven Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Sheffield.

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, helping students develop a deep understanding of the natural world. You will play a key role in fostering a love for science and preparing students for academic success across all Key Stages.

Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Teach Science across relevant Key Stages following the national curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver creative, practical, and well-structured lessons to inspire curiosity and understanding.
  • Assess, record, and track student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Encourage scientific inquiry and promote hands-on learning through experiments and investigations.
  • Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and learning outcomes.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through motivation and guidance.
  • Uphold school policies and ensure a safe, positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, NQT, or relevant Science degree).
  • Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
  • Previous experience teaching Science in UK schools is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
  • A passion for Science and commitment to raising student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
