Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of coding, programming, and digital literacy. You’ll encourage innovation, logical thinking, and problem-solving while preparing students for the digital challenges of the future.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, following the national curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver interactive lessons covering topics such as algorithms, programming languages, cybersecurity, and data analysis.
  • Encourage creativity and curiosity in a supportive learning environment.
  • Assess, record, and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support students in developing key technical and analytical skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Create a classroom culture that promotes respect, focus, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Ensure safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.

Requirements for Computer Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, NQT, or related Computer Science degree).
  • Experience teaching Computer Science or ICT at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of computing principles, hardware, and software systems.
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
