We are urgently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Lewisham!
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to take a lead role in delivering specialised interventions within a new, informal Resource Base in a Secondary school in Lewisham, Starting ASAP. The base supports Year 7 students in a secondary mainstream environment who are working at Key Stage 1–3 academic levels and/or have severe social communication difficulties.
The successful candidate will be a compassionate, adaptable, and proactive professional with a proven track record of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech and Language Needs (SLCN).
Role: HLTA – Intervention Support Room Lead (Year 7, KS1-3 Academic/Social Communication Needs)
Location: Lewisham
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Full-time/Long-term (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £100- £120 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Experience Required:
- Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A valid DBS registered on the update service.
- 2-3 professional references covering a minimum of 2-3 years of employment history.
- Must be available for an immediate interview and start date.
