Secondary Teaching Assistant
Location: Ashington, Northumberland
Salary: £95 - £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to join dynamic secondary schools across Ashington, Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting young people’s learning and development in a stimulating and inclusive environment.
About the Role:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
- Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support to students who require additional help.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
- Help prepare lesson materials and classroom resources.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and pastoral teams.
- Offer emotional and academic support to students, encouraging confidence and participation.

Ideal Candidate:
- A recent graduate, have experience with children/teens or be a fast learner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
