Aspiring Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant
Location: Richmond upon Thames
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Immediate Start

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist SEN school in Richmond upon Thames as a Teaching Assistant, where you’ll gain invaluable experience working with children and young people with diverse needs, while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

What the Role Involves:

  • Work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, providing tailored support.

  • Apply psychological insight to help pupils with Autism (ASC), SEMH, and additional learning needs overcome barriers to learning.

  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.

  • Promote emotional regulation, confidence, and independence in every child you support.

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create holistic learning experiences.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Psychology (or related field) degree – ideal for aspiring Educational or Clinical Psychologists.

  • Strong communication and empathy skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.

  • A proactive, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children with SEN.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection practices.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
