GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S10). As an SEN TA, this role provides the opportunity to help students access the curriculum, develop key skills, and thrive in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs during lessons and learning activities.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Help maintain classroom resources and a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress to inform teaching strategies.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children with SEN or additional needs is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
