Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Swinton, S64
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in the Swinton (S64) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide targeted support to pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance. You will work closely with students to develop positive behaviour, enhance self-regulation, and build essential social and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
  • Develop positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Support in implementing behaviour management strategies and monitoring pupil development.
  • Work closely with teachers to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure consistent support for pupils.


Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach to support and behaviour management.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
