Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day

GSL Education
are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming school in the Wingerworth (S42) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will involve implementing tailored strategies, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teaching staff and parents to create a supportive and structured learning environment.


Key Responsibilities
as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and success in learning.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and track pupil progress.
  • Support the class teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.


Requirements
for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
