Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Bolsover, S44
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a supportive school in the Bolsover (S44) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, this role is perfect for someone committed to helping pupils develop positive behaviours, improve their emotional regulation, and succeed in their educational journey.


Responsibilities
as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement in learning.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and monitor pupils’ progress.
  • Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide consistent support.


Requirements
for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive, solution-focused mindset.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
