Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Swinton, S64
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Swinton (S64) area. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the academic and personal development of pupils who require additional support to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored activities and interventions.
- Support pupils with their emotional, social, and behavioural development.
- Encourage independence and build confidence in pupils’ learning journeys.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support strategies.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
- A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
