Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham, S61
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Rotherham (S61) area. As a Primary TA, you will provide one-to-one or small group support, assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and encourage pupils to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils’ learning, both individually and in small groups, across a range of subjects.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Help pupils develop key skills, confidence, and independence.
- Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet pupils’ needs.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to support children with diverse learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
