Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Askern, DN6
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in the Askern (DN6) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, this role provides an excellent opportunity for someone dedicated to helping children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs thrive both academically and personally.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Provide one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils requiring behavioural and emotional support.
- Help create and implement effective behaviour support strategies.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment that enables all students to succeed.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour management plans.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Behaviour Support Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a similar role is desirable.
- Excellent communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
