Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Rotherham, S60
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a creative and dynamic Design Technology Teacher ready to inspire students and help them develop valuable practical and technical skills?

GSL Education are seeking a skilled and passionate Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive school in Rotherham, S60. In this role, you will teach a diverse range of design, engineering, and technological concepts, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for the future.

Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Design Technology lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Teach students the fundamentals of design, technology, and engineering processes, including CAD, electronics, and materials.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.
  • Support students' practical work and project-based learning.

Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching Design Technology at school level.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire students in creative and technical subjects.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps clearly explained.
