Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield, S11
Daily Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in the Sheffield, S11 area. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional support to overcome behavioural and emotional challenges, helping them to engage positively in their learning.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group mentoring pupils with behavioural needs.
  • Support students in regulating emotions and making positive choices.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create personalised behaviour support plans.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Model positive behaviour and encourage resilience and self-confidence in pupils.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience in a Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Support, Youth Work, or similar role.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with children and young people.
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
