Salary: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a committed Classroom Assistant to join a welcoming school in Barnsley, S72. In this role of Classroom Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Classroom Assistant:
- Provide support to pupils in the classroom, individually or in small groups.
- Assist with learning activities, interventions, and classroom tasks.
- Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning and development.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.
Requirements for Classroom Assistant:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude when supporting pupils.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
