Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)

Salary: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in Sheffield, S5. In this role, you will support pupils in their learning and development, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Provide support to pupils in the classroom, both individually and in small groups.
- Assist with the delivery of learning activities and interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure pupils’ learning needs are met.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude in supporting pupils.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
