Inspire Creativity and Movement as a Full-Time Dance Teacher in Fareham, Hampshire!

This full-time role is set to begin in September or October 2025, with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period.

Your Role and Responsibilities as Teacher of Dance:

  • Engaging Lessons: Deliver inspiring and energetic Dance lessons across key stages, encouraging creativity and confidence.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement innovative lesson plans that explore various dance styles and techniques.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and assess student performance, offering constructive feedback to support their artistic journey.
  • Inclusive Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere where all students feel empowered and respected.
  • School Community: Participate in school performances, events, and contribute to the wider Performing Arts culture.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
  • Pastoral Support: Promote student well-being and provide guidance where needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Dance at the secondary level is ideal, but ECTs and unqualified teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for Dance education and a dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Preparedness: An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
