Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Rotherham, S61
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time
Are you a creative and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher passionate about inspiring students in practical and theoretical DT skills?
GSL Education are seeking an experienced Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive school in Rotherham, S61. You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, fostering students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and understanding of design, materials, and engineering concepts.
Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and challenge students to achieve their full academic and practical potential.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Support students’ development of design, technical, and practical skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stages is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
