Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield, S9
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Sheffield, S9. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students to promote positive behaviour, support emotional wellbeing, and create a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students requiring behavioural support.
  • Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour and encourage positive choices.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a behavioural or mentoring role is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Resilient, patient, and adaptable when supporting students with challenging behaviour.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
