Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £95 – £113 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time
Are you a confident and adaptable individual looking to support schools by delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher?
GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Chesterfield. As a CS, you will supervise classes, ensure students remain on task, and deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, providing essential continuity to the learning process.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise pupils and deliver set lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintain a focused and positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students with their learning and engagement.
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
