Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield, S5
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Sheffield, S5. As a Behaviour Mentor, this is an excellent opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional emotional and social guidance, helping them build confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
As a Behaviour Mentor, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one or small group mentoring to pupils facing behavioural or emotional challenges.
- Implementing behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Building strong, trusting relationships to encourage pupil engagement and progress.
- Collaborating with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to create effective support plans.
- Monitoring and recording pupil behaviour and providing feedback to relevant staff.
To be successful in this role as a Behaviour Mentor, you should:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people, ideally with behavioural needs.
- Be patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
