Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield, S2
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Sheffield, S2. As an SEN TA, this is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of needs, ensuring they can access learning, develop essential skills, and thrive in an inclusive environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons adapted to individual needs.
- Helping pupils to develop their confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Providing tailored emotional and academic support to meet each child’s unique requirements.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress and provide consistent support.
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable in your approach.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide a complete CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
