Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield, S5
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield, S5. As an SEN TA, this is an excellent opportunity to provide tailored support, enabling pupils with additional needs to engage in learning, build confidence, and achieve their goals in an inclusive environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Working 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to provide targeted academic and emotional support.
- Assisting teachers in adapting lessons and learning resources to meet individual needs.
- Encouraging independence, social interaction, and positive behaviour.
- Supporting pupils with varying needs, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to track and promote progress.
To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:
- Have prior experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Be patient, adaptable, and proactive in your approach to learning support.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide a complete and up-to-date CV, including explanations for any employment gaps in the last 10 years.
