Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £95 – £113 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join a friendly school in Sheffield. In this role of CS, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and supported throughout the school day. You will play a key part in maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, following provided lesson plans.
- Support students to stay engaged and on task during lessons.
- Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required by teaching staff.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
