Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: South Kirkby
Pay Rate: £83 – £97 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming school in South Kirkby. As a TA, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, assist pupils with their learning, and help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Your role will be essential in promoting pupils’ development, confidence, and engagement across the curriculum.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils individually and in small groups to aid their learning.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom.
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
