Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Chapeltown, S35
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Chapeltown. As an SEN TA, this role involves working closely with pupils who require additional learning and behavioural support, helping them to achieve their goals in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.
- Assist class teachers in creating engaging and accessible lesson materials.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional resilience, and social skills.
- Support the delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Adapt resources and activities to ensure full inclusion of all pupils.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- A patient, understanding, and proactive approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
