Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a passionate History Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming school in Hoyland. This is an excellent opportunity to engage pupils with captivating lessons and help them develop critical thinking and a deep understanding of historical events.
As a History Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspiring pupils to explore history through a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support learning and wellbeing.
- Contributing to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
To be successful as a History Teacher, you should:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have proven experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for history.
- Be able to manage a classroom effectively and adapt teaching to meet diverse pupil needs.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide a full, 10-year career history (CV) with any gaps explained.
