Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £100 – £130 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education seeks a Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Southampton. This role offers flexible working opportunities, allowing you to choose between 1 and 5 days per week with no minimum days required. All lesson planning will be provided—your primary role will be to maintain a positive learning environment and ensure students complete the work set by the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor (CS):
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure students remain on task and complete set work to a high standard.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and progress.
- Support the smooth running of the school day.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong classroom presence and ability to engage with secondary school students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain a productive learning environment.
- Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
