Art Teacher – Secondary School – Eastleigh, Hampshire

GSL Education are looking for a full-time Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Eastleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dynamic teacher to deliver engaging and creative art lessons that foster students’ skills, confidence, and imagination. The school is open to applications from Early Careers Teachers as well as experienced educators, with interviews scheduled for the first week back in September 2025. The role starts in September 2025 or after October 2025 half term.
Role Responsibilities of the Art Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons that inspire creativity and skill development.
- Create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves.
- Assess, record, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare and maintain teaching resources and materials.
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
Job Requirements of the Art Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for art and design.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
