Science Teacher – Secondary School – Totton, Hampshire

GSL Education are recruiting a full-time Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Totton starting from September 2025 or after the October 2025 half term.
The school is open to applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who are eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for science. Interviews are scheduled for the first week back in September 2025.
Role Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
Job Requirements of the Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge across the science disciplines.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
