PRU Teaching Assistant – Richmond upon Thames

Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term

GSL Education is seeking a PRU Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Pupil Referral Unit in Richmond upon Thames. The role involves working with students who have faced barriers to mainstream education, often due to behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils.

  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons to re-engage students in learning.

  • Foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in PRUs, alternative provisions, or SEMH settings is preferred.

  • Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable attitude.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
